I cringe to admit it, but it was pretty funny at the time, for all the wrong reasons. The audience was having a blast. Jo Beverly was on a roll. Meanwhile, I'm trying every moderator/reporter trick I know to get Barbara to talk. Finally, I said in awe: "You are the most laconic writer I've ever met!" To which she replied, "Yep." "I'm not worthy," I cried and bowed over the panel table. The audience roared. They thought it was all part of the act. Thank goodness. :D Hugs and smiles, Jean Marie
